THE SCARF

The little petite guy had on an amazing 72 layered scarf. That was not the biggest news of the evening, but that was the most material I had ever seen... for one scarf. I am placed in front of different audiences all the time, and this evening was unique because there was an All Ages show at 5:30p followed by an adult show at 8:30. Both shows were fun, but that second show at 8:30 had the guy with the scarf who seemed to be enjoying the show every bit of the way. The time flew by for my performance in this show. I was introduced to a bunch of people in Sacramento, who never knew that I lived in town. Its a small world and I see these people everyday, but apparently they had no idea that I was Mike E Winfield, in the flesh. Up and coming is an unusual place to be because people wonder why you are not somewhere else, or why they have never heard of you, if you are funny. This is how the comedy business works. Time with a combination of talent play a big role in success. Of course, there is much more to this equation. I'm trying to cram what I declare to be an amazing story into 20 to 30 minutes, and that, to me, is the reason that a comedian Has to headline, so that people can hear his story in its full extent. My wife and I are not fighting today and that is a great feeling. This is truly a feeling that I take day by day. I get so many jokes from disputes and arguments that we have, but I feel so much better about life when we aren't fighting. The pain makes for great stories, but the joy of love is more healthy. I wonder who made that scarf?
