I just earned a bunch of bookings at colleges in the Mid East. Colleges are fun to play. I performed at this conference in Kentucky and they gave me five minutes to impress and a few of them bit on it. It a was an unusual slot to play because there were eight of us in this specific showcase and six of them were singers and musicians and there was a spoken word artist and then myself. By the time they got to me in the seventh slot, these people were ready to laugh. They laughed at as I approached the microphone. I can be funny looking at certain angles, but this night I looked especially funny. Check my calendar and see if I'm coming to your town any time soon. That wasn't very funny was it? You were really waiting though. I could tell. Thats how I felt when I reread it.
